How it works and when to trust it
- Scanning: an AI reads the players, stats, lines and payout off your screenshot. Glance at the picks it found; tap any line to fix it, or tap O/U to flip a pick.
- Live data: for each player it pulls his season averages and, once his game starts, the score, clock and his live box score from ESPN. While a game is live it refreshes every 30 seconds.
- The grade: based on the slip's expected value at your payout. A+ is +30% or better, B is about +5%, C is break-even, D is −6% to −12%, and F is worse than −12%.
- Basketball: each player gets his usual share of the remaining minutes, a little more in a close final period, less with 4 or 5 fouls. If the lead gets big late, starters sit. Picks in the same game share one simulated game, so one blowout hits all of them.
- Football: catches, carries and completions arrive at the player's per-game rate for the time left, each worth a random number of yards. A team that's behind throws more; a team that's ahead runs more. Starters sit in late blowouts.
- Early season: with only a few games played, averages are padded with last season's so one big night doesn't skew them.
- Trust it less when there's news it can't see: an injury, a minutes limit, a backup QB, weather, or a coach who rests starters early. Goblin and demon lines are graded at the payout shown.
